Hey!  Oddwalk's New CD "Walk Away Different" has made the front page of the GIA Publications website!  (You may have to click the"Sacred Music" to get there, then look under "Featured Products".)  That's right, we're now officially awesome.

Did you know that "Walk Away Different" is the perfect Christmas present for every single person you know, and that it also makes a nice stocking stuffer?  It's true!  And we also have lots of other crap merchandise - shirts, magnets, buttons - that will make everyone's hearts glow with an Oddwalkian spirit of Christmas.  Order now to ensure delivery by Groundhogs Day!  No, wait - by, um... by Christmas!  Yeah, that's it.

Saturday Morning, Oddwalk hopped in their rental car and drove 5 hours west to Cedar Rapids, IA for a middle school rally, themed "SuperGod" as evidenced by the picture of the team members' shirts.

Oddwalk had a great time, and a couple pictures will help tell the story. First, as part of the art and environment for the day, the team attempted to put a Superman mannequin in a mock-up of a
phone booth. Superman turned out to be really short, and his head wouldn't stay on. Also, he had the head of a woman:



During the day, Oddwalk business cards and stickers were very popular. After taking this pic, Orin informed the youth that they should check the website in a few days to see it. One of the youth with the sticker-card-beard asked if we had any paper so he could write down the website. Orin lifted the bottom of the bear up in front of the young man's eyes and said, "Here it is."

Oddblog 10,000th Visitor Sweepstakes!

As Orin's car continues to approach 200,000 miles (199,710 this morning), the Oddblog is rapdly approaching a major milestone of its own - its 10,000 visitor, according to SiteMeter.

So, here's the deal - from SiteMeter we also get limited information about our visitors: perhaps where geographically they checked from, for how long, how they got to the Oddblog, which OS and what screen resolution was being used, etc.

We don't use this info for any reason other than to satisfy our curiosity, to try to see what people are looking for on the blog, and so forth. But perhaps we can find another use:

Our 10,000th visitor – or the next one after 10,000 which is both identifiable and not us or our families – that person will win $30 of Oddwalk merchandise credit to use however he or she wishes.

When we have that many visits, sometime in the next week or two, we'll post as much info as seems appropriate about that 10,000th visit back here on the blog. If you recognize yourself and can convince us that that was you (shouldn't be too hard), the prize is yours.

We may even, when we get quite close, throw up a post for you all to comment in with the time and place of your comment so if you're the magic 10,000th, you can be easily awarded the prize.
