New Look & OddPoll

Hi all - we've updated the OddBlog's look again, revisiting a theme from a couple years ago, but tweaking it a bit.  All the content is still the same, just a fresh new face to look upon.

We've added a poll to the sidebar on the right, please vote on the new look!  You have about a week to decide (we know it's a tough choice that will require much contemplation, perhaps even hour upon hour of prayer).

OddPoll: Who is the "Yoko" of Oddwalk?

We've gotten a number of entertaining reactions to yesterday's April Fool's Announcement that Oddwalk was breaking up.  Here's a sampling:

I am now a professional golfer on Wii sports, which is pretty good considering I don't play all that often. (Ricky again, though I'm not so sure this comment is specifically about our April Fools joke)

If It Ain't Broke... (and a poem)

So, the OddPoll on the blog's new look is complete, with pretty mixed results. We'll leave it up in the sidebar for a while, so you can check it out fer yerself. We guess we'll leave it like this for a while, but will probably go back to the old one someday — and maybe even a different one altogether - who knows?

We like to keep our fans guessing, after all...

Just so this post isn't completely worthless, here's a pretty-much random poem by Thomas Moore - pictured, of course - that I (Orin) was thinking about tonight. I sang a nifty musical arrangement with these words in college days. Enjoy!

We Might Have Guessed

So, our first Oddblog poll is closed...  It will disappear from the Sidebar sometime soon, whenever we make up a new one, so here's the official tally, just to the left.

Of course the keytar won.  That probably doesn't need any in-depth analysis.  We are a little surprised though at how poorly Matilda fared.

Update on the Polls

So, a healthy 20 folks have voted on our new Oddwalk Poll (over in the sidebar) as this is being written - and the inanimate object, the Oddwalk Keytar currently holds a slim lead, tied with Oddwalk's Wives. We wanted to bring to your attention a couple aspects of the poll that may not have been clear at first:

1) You may vote for more than one favorite (i.e. 'Orin' and 'Matilda the Gorilla') if you like.

2) You may change your vote at any time while the poll is still active - say, for instance, Shannon steals all your lunch money one day and is no longer amongst your favorite members of Oddwalk.

This is all, please resume normal activities...

Oddwalk Polls

So, Blogger has added (in beta) an ability to add simple polls to the blog. Check out the first one, over there in the sidebar.  It will be active for two weeks.  You may select multiple answers (unless you only have one answer).  I guess having no answer is acceptable too, but if that's the case, then why are you even visiting this blog?
